Julian Autumn Jubilee
All rules are subject to change. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to figure out this completely new way of doing things in a way that works best for all. Our sincere apologies for any inconveniences!
- What is your policy regarding covid guidelines?
Please practice social distancing of 6 feet from anyone beyond your own party. Fort Cross is entirely outdoors and social distancing is easily maintained in most areas.
If you are sick or have a fever, please refrain from coming at this time.
Hand washing stations are available throughout the property, as well as hand sanitizer.
Masks are required on the hayride unless you have a medical reason that prevents you from doing so. Corn husk doll making is offered as an alternative to the hayride.
- What are the hours of the Julian Autumn Jubilee?
Saturdays 10 am – 5 pm; Sunday 11 am – 5 pm. September 19 - October 25, 2020.
- Can I purchase individual activities?
Yes! Fairy & Dinosaur Garden Making is priced at $15, $20, and $25 while supplies last. To accommodate social distancing guidelines, we are limiting this area to one group at a time.
Due to limited space availability at activity stations, you can purchase individual activities for petting zoo, reptile show, candle dipping, and pumpkin painting on a case by case basis. These activities may be on a scheduled rotation.
- How long will it take to complete the activities in each package?
The Festival Package will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete. The Adventure Package usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour. But as the archery and tomahawk throwing are offered as unlimited, the time it takes varies depending on how long you want to do it.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Purchases are non-refundable, but the dollar amount is transferable up to one week before your reservation day.
- For the Festival Activity Package, do I need to show up at a certain time, or can I show up to participate in the activities that I’ve purchased anytime throughout the day?
For the Festival Activity Package, yes. Please get checked-in at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation time as you may miss out on some activities if you are late. Online reservations are available for you to have a more organized and relaxed experience so that overcrowding at activity stations is not an issue.
In order to avoid overcrowding and make it easier for social distancing, we may not be able to accommodate missed activities for late arrivals, as many of the activities are on a rotating schedule. But if space allows, we will do our very best to make sure you don't miss out on anything!l
Although we do prefer you to purchase a time slot ahead of time online, walk-ins are also very welcome if space allows.
- For the Adventure Package, do I need to show up at a certain time, or can I show up to participate in the activities that I’ve purchased anytime throughout the day?
We do ask that you show up during your scheduled reservation time.
- Do I need to purchase activities online or can I show up and purchase activities when I arrive?
You are welcome to purchase activities when you arrive and we will fit you into the rotation if there is availability. We do recommend purchasing ahead of time online to guarantee availability. Also, we have made discounts available for early bird purchasing.
- Do I have to pay for activities if I just want to walk around?
Currently, no. At this time you are welcome to enjoy the property at no cost. If overcrowding becomes an issue, we may start charging a nominal entrance fee that can be applied toward inventory and activities.
There are several free activities throughout the property that you can do during the event at any time including lawn games, tire swings, lilac maze, walking trails, etc.
- Can I purchase activities for my kids and let them do them by themselves?
Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by a paying adult in order to participate in the Festival Package activities. Adult supervision is extremely important at all times. Adult purchase is not required for a child to participate in the Adventure Package, but they must be accompanied.
- I have young children, do I have to pay for them?
For each paying adult, 1 child 3 years old and younger is free to accompany. Each child under 3 years and younger after that is $5 each to accompany a paying adult. This price can be paid at check-in.
This will give them access into the petting zoo, reptile show, hoedown, and hayride. Although the candle dipping, corn husk doll making, and pumpkin painting would not be included for them, the parent will usually allow their accompanying child to take their place for those activities.
Usually 2 children are allowed to accompany for free per adult, but due to covid-19 social distancing guidelines, we have had to adjust this accommodation. We apologize for any inconvenience.
- Are the activities only for kids?
Definitely not! The Festival Activity Package is intended for all ages. The Adventure Package (archery, tomahawk throwing, slingshots) is intended for anyone able to operate and hold the equipment properly; usually elementary aged kids and adults.
- Is the property wheelchair accessible?
There are no stairs to hinder a wheelchair, however there are some inclines throughout the property with rugged terrain that may be difficult for a wheelchair to get through.
- Are dogs allowed?
Woohoo yes! We love puppies of all ages. You already know they need to be on a leash, but please feel free to bring them! Except in the petting zoo and reptile area… Please do not bring them in there (duh).
- Is there food available for purchase?
We will have snacks and drinks for sale, but if you are interested in eating a meal then there are plenty of choices within walking distance of Fort Cross! Across the street is the new eatery called Colts Burger Bar. A few lots over, there is Wynola Pizza & Bistro, as well as Jeremy's on the Hill.
You are also more than welcome to bring lunch and picnic on the grass or at one of the picnic tables.
- Do you offer a military/first responder discount?
Yes! Active military personnel and first responders receive 20% off activity package pricing for up to 5 people. If you purchase online, please show us a valid ID upon arrival and you will be refunded the difference. Discount not valid for individual activities, including Fairy & Dinosaur Garden Making.
- Will we be able to sample the cider at the u-press cider making station?
No, I am sorry. We are not allowed to offer cider samples due to health and safety regulations.
But Julian apple cider from Apple Lane Orchard will be available for purchase, while supplies last.
